Message from The Owner and Founder

Greetings from SND, the owner and founder of this lively and heartwarming August.inc boutique. Aside from my costume rental business‚ this boutique also aims to create an inspirational and curated country dictionary for people to learn and appreciate more about different cultures through the usage of costumes.

Did you know?

Each of the costumes we provide in our rental comes with its own cultural background and history. Especially from the various and rich culture of Indonesia. Hence, with this in mind, we hope our customers will not only see the beauty of the costumes but also gain a greater appreciation for the culture․

When it Started...

This comes from the belief that cultural education is an increasingly important area of education in a globalized world‚ and helps to encourage respect for differences․ At August.inc boutique, we believe that attire can be a vessel for larger conversations․ As a person wears them‚ they learn context‚ history‚ and the ideas that these form represents.

But learning isn't only about indulging in trivia. It is a way to break down stereotypes and prejudices‚ and to open oneself to other ways of doing things that one may initially find unsavory or difficult to understand․ An important key to curtailing conflict, too, comes from a deeper form of understanding. And cultural education through costume rental can be a part of that․
